LONDON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - The format of the draw for the Euro 2004 qualification playoffs will be decided at a UEFA executive committee meeting in Bratislava next week, European soccer's governing body said on Thursday.
The runners-up from the 10 qualifying groups will play off over two legs on November 15/16 and 18/19 for a place at the finals in Portugal next year, but UEFA have yet to decide if teams will be seeded in the draw.
In the Euro 2000 qualifying competition there were nine groups. Portugal qualified as the best runners-up while the remaining eight teams played off for a place at the finals in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Netherlands and Slovenia have already secured playoff berths, while the runners-up from the other eight groups will be decided in the final round of qualifiers on October 11.
UEFA's executive committee will meet in the Slovak capital on Wednesday and Thursday next week.
